Wait a minute. That's a different breed of dog.

It's Jake the Jack Russell terrier.

Which makes me think I should have done my flag-carrying dog as Dottie---
dachshund-style.

Nah!

Next Wednesday Block 12.
We are FINISHED!

Looking forward to the final block. I already have the lower half of my quilt top sewn.

Love seeing the different blocks and the elongated dog is a creative piece.
I enjoyed making this block as a small hanging, love the old designs to use in pieces.

It’s interesting to see everyone choices of colors! My blocks are more similar the original pictures that you post every month.
I’m almost ready to assembly the lower half of my quilt top, and then the last one block!
Have a joyous Merry Christmas!
Hugs, Rina.

I've just started following but I love the dog on this block. A children's book, Dog Jack by Florence Biros, which takes place during the Civil War, immediately came to mind. If you're not familiar with this book, it's about a stray dog that joins the 102 regiment of the Pennsylvania Volunteers as they go to war and becomes a hero.
